Golden Milk

Also known as turmeric latte, this is a soothing hot drink to calm the nervous system. Creamy and gently spiced, this is a great alternative to coffee, that wont give you the jitters. Easy to digest, you can enjoy this drink at any part of the day. The black pepper aids the absorption of turmeric, but also lends a lovely heat to the drink — please feel free to omit if it's not your cuppa, though!

    Method

    1. Using the side of a knife, gently crush and break the cardamon pods. Add to a saucepan, along with almond milk, turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and vanilla, whisk to combine.
    2. Over a medium heat, gently bring the almond milk to simmer.
    3. Adjust to your taste with sweetener of more spice and serve.
